We specialise in authentic, one of a kind Aboriginal
artworks, handpainted gifts and wearable art.
We are the Nhanta people of the mid-west region of Western Australia around the mouth of the Murchison River. We have always been storytellers, sharing our stories through song, yarning and artwork. We continue this tradition today creating unique, authentic Aboriginal artworks, each piece created by local Aboriginal artists, each with its own story to tell.
FROM NATURE'S PHARMACY
Often referred to as Nature’s Pharmacy, the outback desert has been an abundant source of medicine plants for the Nhanta people for millennia. The world is just waking up to the unique chemical compounds that exist in native plants found only in WA. Over 40,000 years the first Australians have gained an intimate knowlege of bush medicine, a knowlege that has been passed from through generations.
The kernel of the Quandong fruit is made up of 25% protein and 70% complex oils, the kernels were used by the Nhanta people to create powerful antibacterial and anti-inflammatory pastes traditionally used to treat skin conditions and rheumatism.
